The Benefits of Driving for Us:
- Use of vehicle for little or no fee
- Free tank of gas
- No mileage charge within allowed limits
- Directions and suggestions, including detailed maps to your destination
Driver Qualifications:
- All drivers must be at least 23 years of age -No exceptions.
- A current, valid driver license is required (International licenses are acceptable with valid passport.)
- All drivers must have an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) from the state that issued their license. The MVR must have been issued within the last 12 months. If it is not convenient for you to get an MVR, we can get one for you for a modest processing fee. We can obtain MVR's from all U.S. states, plus anywhere in the U.K. Please allow at least 48 hours for this service.
- A $350.00 deposit is required up front, which can be paid by cash, travellers checks, or credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express). When a successful delivery has been made and verified, your deposit will be refunded to you. If you paid via credit/debit card, the refund will be credited back to your card. If you paid by cash or check, your refund will be paid by check. The check can be mailed to you, or you may pick at any one of our 45 offices nationwide. Note that fees paid for MVR's are not refundable.
- You must sign our contract at the time of pickup, which outlines the rules you must abide by while on the road (no smoking, eating, drinking, pets in the vehicle, etc.)
- You need ample funds to complete the trip
- You must provide a destination reference with a name, address and phone number.
Additional Information:
- Nothing may be attached to the vehicle (e.g. roof racks), and nothing may be towed by the vehicle.
- The first tank of fuel will be provided. You are responsible for the remainder of the fuel necessary to complete the trip. You must deliver the vehicle clean, with no less than 1/4 tank of fuel.
- You will be given a mileage allowance of 15% over the actual miles to your destination. This should be ample miles for you to enjoy your trip and stay within the mileage allotment.
- You will be given a delivery date, based on driving an average of 400 miles per day. Late delivery can mean loss of your deposit, and can result in our contacting the authorities to report the vehicle missing.
- You are authorized to spend up to $100.00 en route for minor necessary repairs. You will be reimbursed upon delivery, providing you have valid receipts. Any repairs over $100.00 will be the responsibility of the owner.
